🃏 Card Collection System

NPC Location: Prontera (128, 215)

The Card Collection System allows players to deposit cards for permanent stat bonuses. Inspired by Ragnarok Mobile's card collection feature, this is a "card sink" system that removes cards from circulation while providing powerful character-bound bonuses.

Important Warning

Cards deposited are PERMANENTLY BOUND to your character!

Withdrawal has been DISABLED. Once you deposit a card, you cannot get it back. Make sure you want to commit before depositing!

How It Works

  1. Complete the Initial Quest to unlock depositing
  2. Collect 10 copies of a specific card
  3. Pay 100,000 Zeny to deposit
  4. Receive permanent stat bonus on that character
  5. Complete all cards in a collection for server-wide announcement!

Initial Quest Requirements

Before you can deposit any cards, you must complete the initial quest by bringing:

There are 10 collections based on different towns. Each collection has a theme bonus:

How to Use

Step 1: Complete Initial Quest

  1. Talk to Card Master in Prontera (128, 215)
  2. Select "Card Collection Quest"
  3. Bring required materials (100 Jellopy, 100 Old Blue Box, 100 Sticky Mucus, 100 Yggdrasil Leaf)
  4. Quest complete! You can now deposit cards.

Step 2: Deposit Cards

  1. Select "Card Deposit"
  2. Choose a collection (Prontera, Morocc, etc.)
  3. View which cards you have vs need
  4. Select a card to deposit
  5. Must have 10 copies of that card
  6. Must have 100,000 Zeny
  7. Confirm deposit
  8. Card is bound, bonus is applied!

Step 3: Enjoy Bonuses

  • Bonuses are applied automatically
  • Bonuses are character-specific (not account-wide)
  • Bonuses are permanent

Collection Completion

When you complete all cards in a collection, a server-wide announcement is made:

[Card Collection]: Citizens of TrinityRO! [PlayerName] has completed the [Collection Name] Collection.

Technical Details

Data Storage

  • Collection progress is stored per-character
  • Variables: collection_[CardID] for each card deposited
  • Variables: map_[CollectionID] for collection progress count
  • CHAR_CARD_COLLECTION flag for quest completion

Bonus Application

  • Bonuses are applied via the card_collection_bonus function
  • Called on login/map change
  • Uses standard rAthena bonus system (bMaxHP, bMaxSP, etc.)

Restricted Maps

Bonuses do not apply in these town maps: - Prontera, Morocc, Geffen, Payon, Alberta - Izlude, Aldebaran, Lutie, Comodo, Yuno

Tips

  • Farm cards efficiently - Target monsters that drop multiple collection cards
  • Check prices - Some collection cards are cheaper to buy than farm
  • Prioritize wisely - Max HP and Move Speed collections are popular choices
  • Complete collections - Full collections give you bragging rights and max bonuses
  • Remember: NO WITHDRAWAL - Once deposited, cards are gone forever

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I withdraw cards after depositing?

A: No. Withdrawal is permanently disabled. Cards are bound forever.

Q: Do bonuses stack with equipment cards?

A: Yes. Collection bonuses are separate from equipment card bonuses.

Q: Are bonuses account-wide?

A: No. Bonuses only apply to the character that deposited the cards.

Q: Why don't my bonuses work in town?

A: Collection bonuses are disabled in major town maps.

Q: Can I see my collection progress?

A: Yes. Talk to the NPC and select "Card Deposit" to see status of each card.

Q: What happens if I delete my character?

A: All collection progress and bonuses are lost with the character.
