How It Works
On Success
- Equipment refine level increases by 1
- Materials and Zeny consumed
On Failure
- Equipment refine level decreases by 1 (NOT destroyed!)
- Materials and Zeny still consumed
- Equipment remains usable

Optional protection using Blacksmith Blessing items:

- Talk to Mighty Hammer
- Select the equipment slot
- Confirm you have HD ore and Zeny
- Choose whether to use Blacksmith Blessing (if available)
- Refining begins

- HD refining is the safest way to upgrade +7 to +9
- Always bring enough HD ores for multiple attempts
- Blacksmith Blessing is expensive but guarantees no loss
