How MVP Points Work

Earning Points

  • Kill any MVP monster to earn 1 point
  • Only MVPs count (monsters with MVP EXP)
  • Points are tracked per character

Kill Notification

When you kill an MVP, you receive: - Bottom message: "~ You've killed X MVP. ~" - Special healing effect plays

Leaderboard Display

The ranking shows the top 10 MVP hunters:

Monthly Reset

Reset Schedule

  • Rankings reset on the 1st day of each month at midnight
  • Previous month data is archived for viewing

Archival

  • Top 10 players are recorded in history
  • You can view past rankings via "Previous Month ranking"

How to Use

Check Your Rank

  1. Talk to the MVP Ranking NPC
  2. Select "Check rankings"
  3. View the current top 10 players

View Personal Stats

  1. Talk to the MVP Ranking NPC
  2. Select "My stats"
  3. See your total MVP kills this month

View History

  1. Talk to the MVP Ranking NPC
  2. Select "Previous Month ranking"
  3. See last month's final standings

MVP Definition

A monster counts as an MVP if it has MVP Experience Points (MVPEXP) in the database. This includes: - Classic MVPs (Baphomet, Doppelganger, etc.) - Mini-bosses with MVP status - Event MVPs

Tips

  • Hunt MVPs regularly to climb the rankings
  • Focus on fast-respawn MVPs for more points
  • Check your progress daily with "My stats"
  • Rankings reset monthly - start fresh each month!

Technical Notes

  • Data is stored in the char table (mvp_rank column)
  • Archive is stored in mvp_rank_archive table
  • Points are updated via SQL on each MVP kill
